The Community

Birge House Apartments are located in the timeless University Heights neighborhood, centrally located just west of downtown. Bordered by University Avenue, the neighborhood offers a Whole Foods market, many specialty retailers, coffee shops and fantastic restaurants. Hilldale Mall and multiple strip centers are also nearby.

To the east of the neighborhood are the UW Colleges of Engineering and Agricultural and Life Sciences, as well as Camp Randall Stadium. Across University Avenue are the UW Hospitals and Clinics and multiple UW sporting fields.

The neighborhood also features plenty quaint homes and friendly neighbors. A half-mile north of the apartments, you'll find the quiet, wooded areas of Lakeshore Path and Picnic Point, both are located at the edge of Lake Mendota.
