The Community
Henry Gilman Apartments are located on the east edge of the UW-Madison and downtown MATC campuses, at the corners of Henry and Gilman Streets. They are located about five blocks east of the Memorial Union. The apartments are also just two block from all of the great shopping, taverns and restaurants available on State Street. Langdon Street and it's many Fraternity and Sororities are also located in this same neighborhood.
The neighborhood is filled with beautiful homes and plenty of trees and green spaces are available. Lake Mendota is just down the street and there are walking and biking areas throughout the neighborhood.
When you need to venture out of downtown, you can easily access the bus routes from Henry Gilman Apartments or use one of Madison's many taxi companies. For those who drive a car, main through-fares University Avenue and Johnson Street are both easily accessible and Hilldale Mall is a quick 10 minute drive away.
