History of the building: The Keenan House is a two-story Mediterranean Revival home that was built in appx. 1904 as a rooming house for Ms. Flora Keenan. Ms. Keenan was orginally from Ireland and moved to a farm just south of Madison as a young girl. She died in 1918 at the age of 92 and property remained a rooming house until appx. 1949.
